FSET Program (4)
The Food Stamp Employment and Training (F.S.E.T.) Program is a mandatory federal program designed to assist those able bodied adults without dependants (ABAWD) to access training, education, and career development which results in self sufficiency. The focus of this program is work first; meaning everyone who is referred is required to participate in a work activity.
General WorkNet Pinellas (25)
WorkNet Pinellas came into existence in January 2001 under the general direction of Pinellas County and Workforce Florida, Inc. (WFI) which is the state's chief workforce policy organization. Created by the Workforce Innovation Act of 2000, the public-private partnership supports and promotes economic growth through workforce development. Workforce Florida is the principal architect in the state's efforts to develop and retain a highly competitive workforce responsive to the needs of employers.

Workforce Investment Act of 1998-which is a federally funded program that assists individuals to attain self-sufficiency through employment.
You may be eligible to receiving funding up to $3500 a fiscal year to pay for tuition, books, tools and supplies required of training program.
WTP Program (0)
In October of 1996 changes took place in the form of Welfare Reform. AFDC (Aid for Families with Dependant Children) changed to TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) with those changes the Welfare Transition Program was put into place helping low-income families to move into self-sufficiency.
